My name is Ruth O’Brien, and I’m the human behind Clarity.Creative. I’m an Irish woman in her 30’s, living in spain, and specialising in building relatable, loveable brands, from the story, to the imaging and through all of the touch points that a brand has with the people it serves.
to deliver unique brands which people relate to, and gravitate towards on a personal level - brands which people want to tell their friends about.

I believe that the process of shaping a brand is like getting to a person well - you have to look in the right places, and ask the right questions. I also feel that you have to show at least a little of yourself to get to know that person on a meaningful level - and the same is true of designing a brand identity. Clarity aims to capture the essence of the brand owner, or an element of their origin story, in order to give your brand the authentic, personal feel it deserves.
The lion’s share of my experience was gained working for a small company. As well as being the creative director, I also wore many other hats, in order to show up for that company in the way it deserved.
While I did a lot of graphic & brand design, I also developed simple business plans and investment pitch decks for brands & projects, carried out due diligence on label legislation & compliance, coordinated and executed sourcing of materials, packaging manufacturers, ordering and production schedules, and kept an eye on H.R. issues, to name just a few.
What does this mean for your brand? It means that Clarity.Creative has all of the necessary experience to make your brand development and launch smoother than you could have imagined. I strongly believe that it’s important for the business brains and the design brains to come to the table together during the design process in order to build something that not only looks and feels beautiful to the user, but also works - Is this packaging feasible? Is it affordable? Is it deliverable in a reasonable time frame? Is that label design and wording legal? Can this website be built without an army of Coders? These are all issues which Clarity keeps in mind from inception to completion.
